Bailey was the very first dog rescued by SOS Italian Setters. He was found in January 2022, starving and desperately ill with leishmaniasis. He recovered from that, but in August 2022 cancer struck, and it was terminal. Bailey bravely fought it for over three years and passed away in November 2025, at an estimated age of 7. His life helped save over 250 dogs and counting. Bailey's Fund was created in his name to carry that work on.
The fund now supports the dogs who need it most: those who come into rescue terminally ill and can't be adopted, and those who need some extra care and a very special home. These are the dogs who wait the longest, or who will stay in rescue care for the rest of their lives.
You can sponsor one of them. Your sponsorship covers their food, their vet care and everything they need for as long as they're with us.
