Meet Willow!

Willow was found as a stray, blind, battling a severe ear infection, suffering from terribly rotten teeth with exposed roots, and covered in ticks and fleas, with wounds on the tips of her ears too — a clear indication of an infection from leishmaniasis… How did she find the strength to keep going?

Since being rescued at the beginning of the year, she has come a long way. Thanks to treatment for leishmaniasis and tick infection she can now see from both eyes — only very little from her right eye, but much better from her left. She is on a strict schedule of eye drops and creams.

Very fearful and timid to start with, she has made some huge steps forward. She is still wary of new people.

It's truly difficult to fathom the constant pain and discomfort she endured, yet her spirit kept shining through.
