Meet Alma!

Alma was discovered with a fractured leg in a remote area. SOS Italian Setters responded to her urgent need for assistance as her leg was also badly infected. She has been in rescue since September 2025 as we have been trying the get her leg healed and after that to decide what to do about her fracture. Meanwhile she has also become positive to leishmaniasis, so she has been treated for that.

Our veterinary professionals suspect that Alma sustained her injuries following a car accident. As we had several different opinions in Italy, we decided to let Alma travel and look for a solution in England.

Alma is now in foster in Lincolnshire.
