Meet Zoe!
Zoe was being kept in a small enclosure and left there to die as they didn’t know what to do with her. She is terrified by thunderstorms and fireworks. We cannot immagine how awful it must have been for this poor girl to be by helself when she was so afraid... Since in rescue, we have found that as long as we are with her she is not that terrified. Zoe suffers from bradycardia and is on heart medications. Bradycardia is the medical term for an unusually slow heart rate. In most cases, dogs with a slow heart rate live completely happy, normal lives with no symptoms at all. Because the heart pumps blood a bit more slowly, some dogs might just have lower energy levels, get tired a bit faster on walks or occasionally seem a little lethargic. Zoe is doing very well and is full of energy as you can see from the video! By the way, she have a very good, natural recall.
Health
Zoe has tested
- Positive for Leishmaniasis
- Negative for Brucella
Zoe will need an adopter who understands her condition and is committed to her ongoing care — but with the right home and treatment, dogs with Leishmaniasis can live long and happy lives. Also her heart condition can be kept under control.
Compatibility
- Dogs: Zoe gets along well with all dogs
- Cats: Unknown
Despite everything she has been through, Zoe is a fighter and deserves a forever home filled with love and patience. Could that be with you?
