Amber came to us alongside Charlie, three puppies, and their mother, all surrendered by the same hunter. On the surface she appeared to be in reasonable condition — but her blood tests told a very different story.

Since her rescue, Amber's health has been on a difficult journey. After a challenging first month, she is now slowly but surely beginning to improve, and we are cautiously optimistic about what lies ahead for this brave girl.

• Negative for: Brucella

Amber will need an adopter who understands her condition and is committed to her ongoing care — but with the right home and treatment, dogs with Leishmaniasis can live long and happy lives.
